CHRISTOPHER TANSEY

Christopher Tansey is an East Yorkshire based painter who studied Fine Art at Liverpool John MooresUniversity. His paintings are autobiographical and self reflective. He explores existence, experience, memory and sentiency to express largely emotive responses through the use of vaguely identifiable elements, forms and motifs.
His paintings are also an exploration of the 'isness' of the materials used and their intrinsic-nature, characteristics and qualities. Questioning, meaning and understanding are very much part of his creative process.
