LUCY CROUCH
(b. 1987 Wakefield, UK)
Lucy Crouch is an artist who is currently based in Leeds. Her work interrogates approaches to drawing practice; spanning drawing, sculpture, sound, and installation. She studied BA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design followed y an MA Fine Art at University of Leeds. Lucy is currently completing a practice-led PhD at University of Leeds, researching the intersection of new materialism and drawing.
Through a playful questioning of the concept of drawing she is exploring the drawn gesture embedded in natural materials and processes, and the effect of this non-human drawing on artistic practice.
