PHILL HOPKINS

Phill Hopkins is an established British artist who moved to Leeds in 1985 after studying at Goldsmiths. His multifaceted practice encompasses drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture and installation. He has again returned to landscapes and this current body of work depicts landscapes that are often drawn from photos taken whilst on walks with his partner.
Phill has exhibited extensively with shows across the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and America. In 1991 Leeds City Art Gallery staged his first major solo exhibition and in 2015 he represented the UK at the Nanjing International Art Festival, China. His work is held in private and permanent collections across the world including the Henry Moore Institute, Imperial War Museum London and many private collections including that of Dr Jeffrey Sherwin.
