Martyn Hayes loves sketching in the field. Being immersed in the environment and taking in all the sights, smells and sounds; chatting with people that come and go. These experiences and energy find their way into his sketchbook and create lasting memories for him to flip through, for years to come. He will often focus on a narrative, however slight or subtle, to give his work an energy and vibrancy that has its own story to tell. Martin is an artist, illustrator and designer living and working in his home town of Leeds with his wife, and Border Terrier, Ted.
