RHIANNON KENDALL
(b. 1996 Wakefield, UK)
Rhiannon Kendall uses drawing, painting, collage and poetry to depict ghostly motifs and objects. The work explores narratives that are often overlooked, lost in times gone by or have been forgotten. The artist’s work is often an exploration of her roots and heritage, having grown up as a queer woman in an ex-mining village in West Yorkshire. Rhiannon found that her hometown and past experiences then became this uncertain 'in-between space' when she moved away. She is a Contemporary Artist, Poet, Prison Teacher and Art Workshop Facilitator based in York.
