ROY BEST

Roy Best’s work is mostly figurative, often reflecting his distinctive view of the local urban landscape, and is firmly rooted in drawing. After graduating in Fine Art at Newcastle in the 1970s, Roy briefly taught art and worked as a freelance illustrator in Leeds and London before circumstances led to him completely abandoning the creative life. Now, 40 years later, he has returned to Leeds to resume his art practice and is exhibiting widely across Yorkshire and beyond.
