TOM PALIN

(b. 1974 Birkenhead, UK)

Tom Palin is a painter, writer, and teacher who has exhibited widely. He was the recipient of The Royal Academy’s British Institution Award (2015), First Prize in The Williamson Open (2011), The Gilchrist-Fisher Award (2004), and The Hunting Young Artist of the Year Award (2000). He has written on abstract painting, formalism, and on the white paintings of Maurice Utrillo. Currently, Tom teaches painting at the RCA. He studied at Liverpool John Moores University (1993-96) and the University of Manchester (2004-06). In 2018 he completed his PhD in Painting at the RCA.
