ELLIE STEVENSON
Photographer Ellie Stevenson was born and studied in Lincoln, UK and graduated with a BA in Photography in 2019. Throughout university, Ellie began to specialise in documentary photography with her enthusiasm for the subject stemming from documenting the decline of her hometown in the east coast of England. In her final year of university, Ellie used photography to question post-truth politics, where she screen-printed placards which quoted politicians, beside a QR code which fact-checked the MPs. During the ‘Put It To The People’ protest in London, Ellie took polaroids of the attendees and asked them to write on the polaroid why they protested.
After Ellie graduated from university, she moved to Leeds where she continued to add to her photographic portfolio. Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Ellie has documented her experiences as her small one-bedroom flat that has evolved into her office, gym and bar during lockdown, with her project 36² meters.
