EMMA HARDAKER

Emma Hardaker is a visual artist and designer, with over 6 years of experience working professionally in the field. She is a strategic thinker interested in place making and exploring the role that visual art can play in contributing towards the quality of life for communities and the built environment. Inspired by contemporary culture her work has a graphic quality and references shapes and patterns found in architecture and her surroundings. Her vivid colour palettes evoke a feeling of happiness and joy and have been translated into murals, print and textiles. Her practice focuses on developing projects that encourage authentic engagement between artists and the communities they are produced for, believing that visual art can be used as a tool to celebrate diverse local cultures and the history and heritage of a place and seek to improve people's wellbeing and livelihoods.
