GREG FARNDON
Greg Farndon’s work explores everyday experiences by combining themes of identity, language, anxiety, death and the fragility of the human condition. Through a process of recording and reordering, these experiences begin to make sense of the world around him, forming a visual language that offers something new to himself and the viewer. The works are a lexicon of ongoing dialogues through intuitive mark making, guided by the irrational compulsion to create.
"I'm not searching for a consistency of style, I simply want to explore possibilities using a range of mediums that may suit the purpose of a particular subject. I aim to make works that surprise me. If it begins to feel comfortable, then it’s time to hit reset and find another angle."
Greg currently lives and works in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK.
