GARETH BELL

Gareth Bell works in oils to create sensitive depictions of his sitters that imbue a sense of intimacy, empathy and narrative. He is a self-taught artist, originally finding solace in portraiture during a coronavirus lockdown in late 2020. He was drawn to portraiture as a proxy for the human connection we could all no longer take for granted; and it is this desire for connection which still inspires his work today.
